I've been using MP for a few weeks now. TV playback seems to play okay (although a bit jerky at times) but when I turn timeshifting on the screen goes black, then the picture returns with no sound. Very occasionally, however, it does work with sound.

I've tried changing the audio codecs (MPA, InterVideo) but the problem continues to occur. What can I do to fix this. I've attached the MediaPortal.log file.

Thanks for any help!

I am having a similar problem at times in scheduled TV-recordings, and I think the problem appears already when recording - there is no sound! Video works fine, but no matter what audio codec or renderer I use, there isn't any sound. Most of the recordings seem to work with audio, but occasionally not.

Any clues - anyone?

As with most problems of this variety, run the software that came with your TV card (ie. a PVR that supports time-shifting), and see if it does the same thing. If it does, it would be your card, or perhaps your operating system / codecs in a rare occasion. If timeshifting works with the card's default software, then it's MediaPortal. In that case, try the latest SVN release and see if that solves your problem. If not, perhaps reply here or lodge a bugreport through Mantis for more help.

Just as a bit of a friendly FYI, bumping your thread up with "Any help anyone?" replies doesn't get things done quicker. People are more likely to respond to a 0 replies thread than one with > 0, as they think it's being resolved..

Hope all this helps :)

I've the same problem. I post "no audio with dvico card?".

I'm in france, in the forum no one have a answer for me. My solution, i use winfast dtv that is already OK for my record. since 2 weeks i ve done 20 record, no one bad.

I'm waiting for an idea. I'll will try the last svn today...

Timeshift is ok. I'm using MPA or Intervideo or other codec... problem with MP but not with Winfast. It's Strong?

I test yesterday with the last SVN. It seems to be ok... I've done 10 records in silence mode (Tv OFF) on wizard channels.

i programmed 7 records for this morning... i'll see.
