    Hello,

I have small issue with MP for singleseat configuration and away mode when TV server is recording.

    MP version: 1.12
    Windows: Windows 10 Pro x64

When TV server is recording some TV channel and I click on my remote to go to sleep, MP does not go to away mode, but the MP stay ON - BUT is should go to away mode, when I click on my remote immediatelly (within 1 sec) again on sleep button, MP stay ON (no away mode) - BUT is should go to away mode, when I click after ~5 sec on sleep button on my remote, then MP goes to away mode (so it keeps recording, but in away mode - i.e. audio/video is OFF). When TV Server finish the recording then it goes to sleep, which is fine.

    Best regards,
    marttoma

Just update here for this topic, it happens on MP single-seat configuration only. Go to sleep when TV server is recording TV program on MP client is working fine.
Still the log file is needed?

Thanks for the log files. For some reason the log level seems to be "info" rather than "debug", but I'll still try to explain what I see.

First I see that you start a recording:
[2015-12-14 01:13:36,415] [Log ] [scheduler thread] [INFO ] - Scheduler: Time to record CT24 1:13-2:05 Otázky Václava Moravce 2. část

Then I see that you start viewing "CT 2":
    [2015-12-14 01:15:14,593] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - TVHome.ViewChannelAndCheck(): View channel=CT 2

Approximately 15 seconds later MP is informed that the PC is going into away mode:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:29,702] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
[2015-12-14 01:15:29,709] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The computer is entering away mode

The TV stream is stopped as a result:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:29,724] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - g_Player.OnStopped()
    ...
    [2015-12-14 01:15:29,932] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - TVHome:turn tv off

At this time the screen is turned off:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:30,074] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)

    [2015-12-14 01:15:30,087] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The display is off

Strangely, the screen is turned on again almost immediately:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:30,299] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
    [2015-12-14 01:15:30,304] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The display is on

Approximately 10 seconds later the computer leaves away mode:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:39,903] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
[2015-12-14 01:15:39,914] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The computer is exiting away mode

Approximately 3 seconds later the PC enters away mode again and the screen is turned off:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:43,006] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
[2015-12-14 01:15:43,015] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The computer is entering away mode

    [2015-12-14 01:15:43,152] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
    [2015-12-14 01:15:43,157] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The display is off

Approximately 6 seconds later the PC leaves away mode and the screen is turned on:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:49,503] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
[2015-12-14 01:15:49,517] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The computer is exiting away mode

    [2015-12-14 01:15:49,551] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
    [2015-12-14 01:15:49,560] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: The display is on
    [2015-12-14 01:15:52,603] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST (PBT_POWERSETTINGCHANGE)
[2015-12-14 01:15:52,611] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: User is providing input to the session

    Finally you close MediaPortal:
    [2015-12-14 01:15:56,223] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: Exit requested

Unfortunately I can't see buttons clicked/selected etc. because the log files are not debug-level. Therefore I can only guess that the first period of away mode - approximately 10 seconds, when the screen is on - is the problem you are talking about. As shown above: the MP log files are saying that the PC does actually enter away mode even though you say it does not. I don't know why the screen turns on during that time... but maybe if you wait awhile it will turn off automatically?

The second period of away mode - approximately 6 seconds, when the screen is off - is probably what you are expecting to happen first time.

    Hello mm1352000,

I think I was wrong with my debug setting in MP Configuration Tool - I had information level only. It is probably the reason you did not see, what you would expect. Anyway now I exported all logs with debug settings in MP Configuration Tool.

On top of this I discover one probably important thing - the issue I am reporting here is happening in one specific case only:
    • Media Portal in single seat configuration AND only if there is TV recording AND at the same time other video is playing (recorded TV, life TV or any video)

I prepared 3 log exports for 3 different situations (options):

    Option 1:
    1. MP started
    2. TV recording ongoing (program CT24)
    3. stop the playing of life TV (recorded TV) -> so no any video / life TV playing)
    4. remote control -> go to sleep
    5. MP goes to away mode -> audio off, video off
    6. to create log files in this point I ended MP

    Option 2:
    1. MP started
    2. TV recording ongoing (program CT24)
    3. life TV playing started -> ongoing
    4. remote control -> go to sleep
    5. MP goes to away mode -> audio off, video off and immediately video is on (audio is off) -> this is probably a bug
    6. to create log files in this point I ended MP

    Option 3:
    1. MP started
    2. TV recording ongoing (program CT24)
    3. video playing started -> ongoing
    4. remote control -> go to sleep
    5. MP goes to away mode -> audio off, video off and immediately video is on (audio is off) -> this is probably a bug
    6. to create log files in this point I ended MP

In both Options 2 and 3 to push computer to go to away mode during life TV recording process (when audio is off & display is again ON in step 5) means to wait ~ 5 sec and then to press "go to sleep button" again and now the computer goes to away mode (audio is off, video is off).

Sorry for long explanation, I want to be clear as much as possible.

Hmmm, I still can't see the remote key presses. Maybe that requires enabling the "extended logging" option:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...ion/MediaPortal_Configuration/8_Remote/01_HID

Anyway, I'm wondering if it is possible that the change from full-screen TV/video to TV-home/video-list is the cause:

    Hi mm,
I enabled "extended logging" and recorded new log with Option 2.

GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Titan\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 98 (window property: videoBackground)
Do you think mytvguide.xml file is not correct?
