    Hello Chaps,

Well this is odd. My EPG MP1.5 shows More 4 clearly but the listings seem to be for ITV3. When I go to TV in MP1.5 to watch live TV More 4 is shown as no free tuners & has the red line symbol to the left. It is the only channel that has this issue.

Also whilst I Can grab listings via XMLTV GUI either from my desktop or from it's folder it is not importing in to MP. The folder for XMLTV is the same place for the whole XMLTV pugin & there is where I ask TVServer config to look for it.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLTV GUI

Under Mappings in TV server config/plugins/XMLTV all my channels are coloured red and the drop down menu under Guide channel is empty. Now I had about a month ago changed my USB dual DTV dongle to Hauppauge. My error is something to do with mapping & tuning I think, sorry this is a very unclear post. How can I get a log or something that I can atytach to show you my setup?

    Thanks,

    Lacanox

Yeah sounds like you need to rebuild your channel list, mappings then map xmltv to the channels.

I use xmltv plugin with epg collector. Works very very well. Each channel has to be mapped to its listing. If I were you check to see if your TV guide.xml is in the correct place, then force load it and try to re map.

    Hello Lacanox

My EPG MP1.5 shows More 4 clearly but the listings seem to be for ITV3.
That would be an XMLTV issue. I suspect More 4 is linked to the ITV3 EPG channel.

When I go to TV in MP1.5 to watch live TV More 4 is shown as no free tuners & has the red line symbol to the left. It is the only channel that has this issue.
That's because it is not mapped to any tuners. You can fix that here:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...Server_Configuration/03_TV_Channels/2_Mapping

Select tuner up the top; select all channels on the left; click ">". This tells TV Server that the tuner can be used to tune the channel.
    Repeat for all tuners.

Also whilst I Can grab listings via XMLTV GUI either from my desktop or from it's folder it is not importing in to MP. The folder for XMLTV is the same place for the whole XMLTV pugin & there is where I ask TVServer config to look for it.
    Is there any error message?
What happens when you click "import"?

Under Mappings in TV server config/plugins/XMLTV all my channels are coloured red and the drop down menu under Guide channel is empty.
Process is to import the tvguide.xml, Load/Refresh on the mappings tab, link all the channels, save, and then import again.

    mm
    :)

    Thank you again chaps,

The error message I get is "tvguideXML:invalid XML file data at the root level is invalid" & if there is more to the error message it is not possible to read further to the right. But this is the error message I get when I try to import.

    Hello M1352000,

I have just gone through TV channels/TV mapping for both of my dual tuner usb dongle & all the channels I wish to map across to the right column for each tuner have been mapped.

Next I went to Plugins/XMLTV/Mappings the channels are all on the left then the guide channel column is empty & no option on the dropdown menu the next column is all red all the way down, showing "No Match" but they are all viewable in the guide.

As I have found before I sometimes do not understand the architecture of how MP works, so I am assuming I am being a bit dim.

Sorry not sure how to post an XML file to you do you mean got to my c drive & copy the XML file from there?

Okay. As above: please post the tvguide.xml file so I can take a look. Log files would also be appreciated.

You don't have to solve this problem by yourself. I'm offering to help, but until you post your XMLTV file and/or log files my hands are tied.

    These are perfect. :)

First thing to say: these files can be opened in any text editor (notepad, wordpad, word, etc.).
    Looking at the tvguide.xml file:

This is not valid XML, hence the "invalid XML file data at the root level is invalid" message. A proper XML file looks like this:

I presume the second file is the log file for the RadioTimes grabber. I quote:
    13:40:44 - Starting pass 1 of grabber UK_RT
13:40:44 - Please note that all data downloaded with this grabber is copyright of the Radio Times website (http://www.radiotimes.com) and the use of the data is restricted to personal use only. Also be aware that this service may not remain free and in future may become a paid-for service
    13:40:44 - Clearing cache
    13:40:44 - 0 / 0 channels downloaded
    13:40:44 - Finished pass 1 of grabber UK_RT
    13:40:44 - 0 programs found
    13:40:44 - Combining Grabber Programs
13:40:44 - Finished Combining Grabber Programs
    13:40:44 - Writing XML
13:40:44 - No programs found, aborting xml writing

Basically it appears like the RadioTimes grabber is failing for some reason. This is the problem that you need to fix. Unfortunately I'm not able to help with this as I know nothing about the grabber or how it is configured.

    ...where are XMLTV files stored?
    For completeness...
The XMLTV file is the tvguide.xml file that you just posted. Where you store it is somewhat irrelevant because you can just change the folder/location in the XMLTV plugin.
