Hello. Yesterday I removed all of the old version of MediaPortal that I had installed, cleaned up some left over files and installed the latest version of MP and TVE3 - 17930. I'm now unable to find any channels when scanning using my Nebula DVB-T card. This card was working fine with TVE2 before the upgrade.

Please could someone give me a hand with this as we now have no telly! Thanks.

Does the nebula software work, as logs showing 0 signal.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling tvcard drivers.

There does not seem to be any other posts regarding this release not tuning.

This is the only error showing

2008-03-15 09:33:37.781250 [9]: unable to connect transport information filter
2008-03-15 09:39:44.593750 [9]: Exception :confused:ystem.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Is this a admin account you are running this on, is .net fully upto date.

Just finished setting up a clean MP installation here using 17967 and everything working with hauppauge T500.

Did you find out if it was driver related, or something else.

    Cheers

    Hi Ray.

Thanks for your reply. Quick post before I turn in for the night as I've had a few spare minutes to test today.

I was halfway through writing a long reply when I noticed that the TV Service was running as "Local System account" and the option to "Allow service to interact with desktop" was NOT ticked. To be honest I don't know what this means, but I changed it to run as an administrator account and it has now picked up 55 TV channels and 29 radio channels so it looks like it's working again. Hurrah! I'll carry on with it tomorrow and configure the TV client.

I realise that I hadn't set things up correctly but is there any way that a check could be carried out to find out whether the account being used for the TV Service has the appropriate permissions? Perhaps I should post that in the suggestions forum.

Anyway, many thanks Ray for taking the time to answer.

    All the best,
    Roo.
