Hi
Have a strange (read annoying) problem.
I have setup a backend tv-server 1.1.3.
I have used a m3u-file to scan for specifik channels (IPTV) and that work great, all channels shows up in the channels list after scanning.

But now to the problem.
When I try to see the channels on my frontend (choosen "TV" in the menu), it goes to the TV page, and shows the little preview-window, but nothing is happening.
When I press the "Channel" button, nothing is showing up, just a empty window.

Why does my channels not show up in the frontend ????

In the manual (the page that shows up after initial installation) it say something about when starting the tv server setup for the first time, you should enter a password "mediaportal"
but when I run the tv-server setup, nothing happens.

Is it something that has to do with MYSQL ????
Do anybody know how to control/setup MYSQL for mediaportal ???

My PC = Win7 Pro 32bit SP1

Please Help :)

Hi and welcome to the forum ofh. Just give us a little more time to respond. ;)
Have you set up one or more channel groups in the "TV Channel" section of TV Server configuration?

The "all channels" group, or your own group? If you've created your own group and added channels to it then it should appear in MP. Perhaps you could post a screenshot of your "TV Channels" section in TV Server configuration and your empty channel list in MP.

Does it mean, that there has to be a self-made group for tv channels to show up in the frontend ???

Yes, if you hide the "all channels" group. Take a look at the link posted by Vasilich if you don't need/want custom groups.

Hmmm, something strange seems to be happening here. First, are you sure that the client is connecting to the server? Also, did you restart MP after unticking the "hide all channels" option (restart is required for it to have any effect)?
