"hide all channels" have never been checked :)
How do I check if frontend can communicate with backend ???
As you see I setup the server as the computername, should I use ip address instead ???

And again, how to I verify that frontend can see backend server ???

I am having the same issue. My channels are there in the TV Server, and the preview works also. But when I run the TV front end, I get no channels listed in the guide, and no tv.

    Hi Paris

    Welcome to the forum! :)
Both you and ofh need to post logs so we can see what is going on. Please use the watchdog (information -->here<--) with option 3 ("export all currently present logs").

Thanks for your help. One question, when running in debug mode option 3, should the front end launch?

Anyway, here are my log files. And thanks again.

    Hi again Paris

Thanks for the logs. I can see a potential problem, however I'm not certain that it isn't just a configuration problem. According to your MediaPortal preferences you have "hide the all channels group" enabled. Have you created a custom channel group in TV Server?

I have created a group for my channels. I tried it the default way, using all channels but when that wasn't working I created my own group and put my channels in it.

In my tv guide I get the error message "missing label". I seen a few threads about that but no conclusions.

    Hi ofh

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. georgius found a bug in 1.2.0b which can cause this. To fix it:

    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the "radio channels" section.
    3. Create a new radio group called "All Channels".

    That's it! :)
