No channels on PVR150 TV card connected with composite to cable (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I've just fresh installed MP on Win7.

My HTPC is connected via Hauppauge PVR 150 via composite cable to the cable set top box.

Using Microsoft MCE, I get all channels with no problems.

With MP, I've scanned for channels, but always getting nothing.

I was unable to find a relevant info within the Wiki's.

Can someone please guide hot to set it correctly?

Hi Amir,

As far as I can read from your post the channel selection is in the set top box; not in the PC. As the PVR 150 does not have a TV-signal it will not be able to detect channels.

Hello and welcome Amir

Fred is correct - scanning will not work.
You can use the "add S-Video channels" button in the scan section to add one channel for each input (eg. composite, s-video etc.).
After, that if you want to set up a blaster then you'll need to follow a guide like this:
