This happened to me as well - no EPG data for 7mate or GEM - despite having both channels set for EPG grabbing and mapped to all cards.

I then went into TV Channel Config and deleted channels I didn't need (Nine HD, which was replaced by GEM and 7 HD, which was replaced by 7mate, and a few others). I watched Nine Digital for a few minutes and the GEM EPG data appeared, but not 7mate. I then watched 7 Digital for a few minutes and 7mate EPG data appeared :)

I'm not entirely sure, but the EPG grabbing may have been getting confused while the old channels (Nine HD and 7 HD) were still active.

I have re-scanned and I see the new Channels, but not the guide.

Thinking of completely setting up the TV guide again.....Anyone out there know the best way to delete all the station information without affecting the scheduled recordings?

    Thanks

    Hey,

I also grab Oz EPG from the DVB-T stream. I went through the same as some of the folks above - in the end I had to delete all channels and rescan to get the new names - also had to make sure all channels were ticked as EPG enabled. So now I do have most EPG data across all current Aussie channels. But since the new channels came about (and I upgraded to MP 1.1.1.) I am finding there are still some random holes in the guide which I never used to have. I did set the options to try and fill holes , and have clicked the manual EPG refresh a few times (Note: this according to the help will delete existing data for all channels and regrab - and does not just grab the selected channel).

Currently for example I have some holes in channel 9 and Gem from 9am - 12 am - but after that fine - either there are holes in the source data or perhaps a config issue at my end. What do others have set for the EPG CRC ?? Is this needed ?

BTW, this is a relatively minor issue, but the impact is that in the full guide, I cant easily select the channel where there is a gap.

The config says allows you to set when the EPG is grabbed - but its hard to know when / if this is happening and with what success w/out using manual control.

I'm in Newcastle, and don't have any issues with EPG holes at the moment. But in saying that, I receive NBN not Channel9, so maybe let us know which city you live in, and someone else in that city may be able to confirm if they are having the same issues.

I have EPG CRC checked. I have occasional holes, but since I also have the "try to fill gaps" option checked, they usually go away. Remember, the EPG may actually have an issue, so it might not be a MePo issue

    Hi All,

Still had no luck, then on top of that with daylight savings all my guide and recordings were out by 1hr!

I deleted all the channels (though forgot to export my recordings, so now I have to do them manually again, grrrr!) rescanned and now the problematic ones are fixed (GEM, 7Mate) but now all of the ABC ones, except for ABC3 have no information!!!

I have left it overnight and still nothing. I think I will look through the logs as suggessted and see if there is anything there.

    Thanks for the help all!

This is not a good option is it? I know 9HD is now showing GEM but it will still occasionally show sport and things and you will want that in HD for example when the NRL grand final was on they showed it on 9HD as well as 9, while GEM was still GEM if you delete it how will you watch special broadcasts in HD.

There must be another solution I have tried all other suggestions, with no good outcome.

Cant seem to locate the MPTRACE application to look at the log files, and the ABC guides still have not come down....Thinking of rebuilding to windows 7 anyways, so see what happens.

Sogg_Nomis: even though it appears in the guide as GEM, i beleive it is still being broadcast in HD, so if there is something that you want to see in HD, it will be available in HD still.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong?

I should have looked on here - will try the delete and rescan tonight. Thanks for the tip!

btw is this a MP BUG? ie will not get EPG when stations rename their channels
