I think lots of people are confused by this... which is precisely why I'm removing the channel lists in TVE 3.5. Configuration will be much easier that way.

Could you explain it? are you removing channel list in DVB EPG configuration or channel list completely from SetupTV?

Yes, only the channel lists in DVB EPG.

In the last 6 months I've been working hard in TsWriter. Part of that work has also given more improvements for the EPG grabber:

• OpenTV (Sky) format support
• MediaHighway 2 format support
• ATSC/SCTE format support
• Viasat Sweden, MultiChoice South Africa EIT support (custom PIDs)
• series and episode link identifiers (Freesat/Freeview, Dish/Bell
• better text handling/decoding

I think I'm pretty close to finishing the TsWriter rewrite... but then I will have to fix the interfaces on the C# side, which will probably take at least a few weeks.

Ah, that's fine. Choosing one channel from transponder is not the user-friendly way.

The current way is the most flexible way (to minimise grab time etc.)... but I agree that it's very user-unfriendly. It seems almost nobody understands how to configure properly.

Maybe for time minimization it could grab now/next epg first or grab (somehow) popular channel first [emoji15]
