No episode number in recordings (1 Viewer)

When I record an episode of a serie there is no episode number in the recordings-filename.
I use the following format to save a serie: %channel%\%title%\%title% - %date%[ - S%series%][ - E%episode%] etc

The recorded serie is saved as a movie.
I have checked in the xml-file that is created together with the recording and in that file I can see both seriesnum and episodenum, but still it is stored as a movie.

Have I missed something here or what am I doing wrong?

The name is slightly misleading. (http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...guration/TV-Server_Configuration/07_Recording)
The "movie" format is used for manual and single recording types rather than just movies

But shouldn't it be better to use the serie type for series even if it is only a single recording?

Most epg data does not indicate whether a program is a series it one off so MP can't tell.

Perhaps if he epg does contain series info (only available if you did source is xml) then it sound use the series mask

Sorry I was thinking about an improvement thought.

Just checked now and I actually have the same mask for both movies and series anyway. Just means my movies are called something like movie_SE.
