I'm using razor skin and when I play music in Media Portal's default player I can see the small Windows Media Player screen saver in the bottom right corner (the one with lots of colours moving arround), but I can't make it go fullscreen.

How can this be done?

Thanks

The way I do it is to go to my TV, highlight the TV window and press ok,
you'll have to lower your screen resolution to 800x600 tho or else the only way to get back off it is to press ctrl alt del

Umm, what?

You can just the the normal "x" key to switch between the mini-window and full screen, and I have never had problems with screen resolutions other than 800x600.

I also read somewhere in the forums about this problem with only 800 x 600 resolution working. This seems to be another MP bug. I will try this to see what happens. The other thing I'm going to try is to use the windows screen-saver, I just hope it doesn't start when I'm watching a movie in fullscreen. I hate when that happens.

I certanly love the potential of this software and appreciate the effort of everyone involved, but it just has too many bugs to work arround.

Thanks guys

Ah, I just found the thread with 800x600 issues. I think it was mainly that visualisation took a lot more CPU power at those kind of resolutions. There is a new Music Engine in the SVN at the moment that handles visualisations differently, so perhaps this is a moot point.

I'm sorry, but since I'm new to Media Portal I don't really know how to get that new Music Engine working. Could you be more specific?

Thanks a lot.

That is what I am doing - using the windows screensaver (an aquarium :D ) after starting the music. I did not manage to start it right from the music menu (some remote mapping issues) but have to go through EasyApps - but it works for me.

I would love to have that feature implementet of course 8) .

Do you have any problems with the screen-saver while watching a movie in fullscreen?

    Thanks

No, never experienced. But I have the default setting in windows to turn it on at 600 minutes and never watched a movie that long ;) .

Uhm... could it be that you're mixing up "Screensaver" and "Visualisation" at the moment? Those are two very different things.
