MediaPortal Version: 1.2.2
Windows Version: 7
CPU Type: Core 2 Duo
Video Card: GT520
1. TV Card: T220 Videomate DVB-T

The T220 has a input for external sources such as virgin media box which I want to map channels for not freeview.

But when I map channels as Analog on the TV Server they will not appear on the TV Mapping for the card.

If I do a DVB-T channel that works fine.

Is this becuase Mediaportal is not recognising the card has having an analog input?

Thanks

As far as I can tell from the specifications, this card does not have an analog tuner.

Capture analog video from S-Video and Composite

Does your virgin media box output s-video or composite?

Even if it does, I don't know whether MP supports this sort of capture.

Chances are you need an analog tuner, ideally with hardware encoding.

Something like this (not my auction!) would be ideal.

But that one does what you need? If so, you need a low-profile analog card with hardware encoding. Many of them have software encoding, and MP does work with some software encoders, but it is never as good (heavy CPU usage for a start). Check the wiki - this is all documented.
