No movie folders specified ???? (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0

On a clean install, after running Setup and closing it again (without making any changes) I get a dialog box that says "No movie folders specified". I go into the Movies > Movie Folders section, and see there is a folder specified there (G:\). It is not checked, but also when it is checked I keep getting the same error message.

Anybody knows what is going on here?

Is G:\ actually a folder or you CD/DVD drive?

Try adding a real folder from your hard drive.

If you are only playing Movies from DVD then there is no real need to use My Videos. There is an option on the main menu Play DVD.

Ok, that did the trick.
This is definetly a bug; this was a user is forced to choose a Movies folder before he can save his MediaPortal configuration, even if he isn't interested in Movies...

Yes, the G: drive was empty. But having "no movie folder" should not be a problem to configure MP should it? There is no such problem with My Music or My Pictures, only with My Movies...

I get the same error (just installed SVN 16000). The installer starts the Configuration and I just pressed OK without changing any settings. I had to add a folder to be allowed to exit with the OK button.

Great english for someone aged six, seriously though, usually VIDEO folder (MS) is chosen by default, but you can choose any folder you like, but yes MP likes the boxes ticked for all options.

Perhaps that's part of the problem. I didn't have any Video folder at all. Just my DVD drives and selecting any one doesn't help. Even tried a non empty drive. What directory is supposed to be mapped to "Videos"?
