Sometimes when resuming HTPC from standby when receiver is off, the BASS player seems to loose the ability to play music. I have previously reported the issue, but it still exist here in 1.2. Beta. Starting tv seems to resolve the problem, heres an excerpt from the attached log:

17:46:53.235000 Resume from standby
17:47:31.667000 Trying to play a RadioTime radio channel => BASS: Unable to play http://stream.dylanradio.com:8016. Reason: BASS_OK.
17:47:55.846000 Trying to play a RadioTime radio channel => BASS_ERROR_FILEOPEN + BASS_ERROR_BUFLOST.
.
. <snip> more of the same, trying to play radio channels
.
17:49:07.017000 Trying to play music U2\18 Singles => BASS_ERROR_BUFLOST.
.
. <snip> failing to play rest of album tracks
.
17:49:40.035000 Starting a tv channel trying to resolve the issue
17:50:17.498000 Starting a RadioTime radio channel fails probably because channel does not broadcast at the moment
17:50:21.716000 Starting a RadioTime radio channel success! => playback started

    Are you using the RadioTime plugin? If so, there is no reason to assume that this is a MediaPortal bug. It could easily be a bug in the plugin.

    It is only recently I have been using the RadioTime plugin and coincidentally the issue appeared tonight when trying to play a radio channel, but as you can see from my excerpt+log the issue is also present when playing music. It seems that the BASS player is not initialised properly in some circumstances.

    The issue has previously been discussed in this thread:

    Is this 100% reproducable? Does music playback fail on every resume?
    This is a bit tricky to identify exactly as it is hardware / driver related and I do not see these issues on resume on any of my machines (mixture of XP, Win7 and different sound cards too)

    I know hwahrmann has an idea about what might fix this already.

    For completeness could you attach full debug logs in MP. ie. showing resume then attempt to play a track via BASS and then closing MP.

    I know we kind of have this in the other thread but there have been a couple of changes to the player side of things since then and clean up to date logs would be helpful

    No unfortunately it doesn't happen on every resume.
    I will enable max. debug log level and try to find a way to reproduce the issue consistently.

    I have been able to reproduce the problem by turning off my amplifier before waking the htpc from standby. One could guess that the missing HDMI handshake between htpc and amplifier during startup causes the BASS player to loose its ability to play music. Tv audio always works no matter in what order the components are switched on.
    Logs included from the incident tonight.

    I am still having issues with music if receiver is turned off and on again. This results in playing music or radio is broken, I can remedy the problem by turning on tv and then start radio or music. Did hwahrmann find a solution?
