When selecting "play now", it will jump to now playing(with no image or track info available) with no playback. The file attempting to play is a WMA, which will play under test in configuration/music DSP. Also, had tried both BASS and dshow along with the Blue Two skin, with no success.
Help on this issue would be appreciated,
Thanks

Just ripped a cd in wma format, first time playing it crashed MP without even starting the music, 2nd time MP loaded it played fine!!

So i cannot confirm if you have a problem or not, what happens if you change the rip to MP3, are there any issues then.

Tried the wma file a couple of times now and whatever caused MP to shutdown, cannot repeat.

I take it other wma files play ok.

Ok, I ripped the same cd as with the previously mentioned wma file to a mp3 file, and it played fine in mp. I also tried again ripping to a wma with different software, and again could not play the file.

I was originally confused why this would not work(because .wma extension was installed in mp). I see that it is working for you, maybe there is a conflict with my vista ultimate 64 bit and mp.

Anyway, I have no problem ripping to a mp3 file, which after testing, seems to working flawlessly.

Thank you very much for your help!:D

Sounds like a bit of a codec problem there.

If you need a good fixer for any codec issues, look at filmerit in my signature, very good at pinpointing problems :)

Not sure how good it is on 64 bit systems though.

I am getting this problem. When first enabling my music, all codecs played fine (via kmplayer). Then it just stopped, no sound, nothing other than being able to see the file info in "now playing". Any ideas?
