Hi, my old MP started doing weird things, so i fdisked the whole thing and installed a fresh copy of xp, sp2, all patched. installed a new sound card and various bits.
Installed the rc1 of MP but i can't ge tthe setup wizard to come up. Just get the advanced HAAAAAAAAAYOUMUSTCHANGEEVERYTHINGANDISHALLNEVERWORKAGAIN setup.
according to the manual

i should get a wizard first time i start it, but no.
according to the manual i can delete mediaportal.xml and it will give me the wizard.
No file exists with that name. until i make some changes in the advanced setup, but deleting it just looses my changes and does not start the wizard

i did the best i could with the JEEEZTHISISWHATITFEELSLIKETOBETHEREGISTRY setup but am getting stuck at the television pages with "unable to create graph for this device" and can't figure out how to auto tune it.

so...

How do i get the setup wizard to start?
and/or
where is the autotune in the advanced(ARRRGHMYEYESAREBLEEDING) setup?

where is the autotune in the advanced setup?

MP Setup -> Television-> Capture Cards -> Add ....

If you get the message "No video device was found, you will not be able to configure a capture card", then this post might help?

but i'm getting a message that states

and i can't figure out how to autotune it.
looking at the instructions you stated, i still can't. looks like i can manually do it.
but only if i know the exact frequencies or something.
the import button has my country (Australia) but not my city (Sydney)
