    Hi,

Yesterday I've finished reinstalling a pc + MP for a friend and apparently, the tv tuner doesn't pick up any signal.
The channels are correctly tuned (have done this process multiple times the past days since I also reinstalled my own HTPC) and all of them just show 'snow'.

Could it be that I used the wrong driver? The card has no issues in windows device manager, the remote works ok so it's only the tuning.

On the various websites of hauppauge were different versions of the driver and I remember that there was a specific procedure to get the remote working without a headache in a thread here but I cannot find it anymore.

Which driver should I use best and does it need that trick with implementing another ir32 file? (I just found out that there is a more recent version then 2.49 of ir32)

In other words: is there any issue with the most recent drivers from the official hauppauge websites.

Did you fill in the frequencies in TV Channels ----> Edit -----> Analog ?
I have to do this as my card somehow does not see the channel numbers only frequencies.

Yes, I filled in the right frequencies in the frequency box.
I also gave a unique number in the channel box, thinking that this was used for the order of appearance but apparently it has nothing to do with that.
As input type, I used 'Cable', selected 'Belgium' as Country and 'Tuner' as source.

    Hi Peter2

I have a Hauppauge PVR 150 installed in one of my PCs which shows the channels have been correctly tuned but only shows a picture the first time after the drivers are installed and then does not after any reboots.

There is a know reson for this and it is that the Hauppauge PVR 150 (and PVR 500) drivers do not work properly if you have 4 Gb or more installed. Obviously this only applies to x64 operating systems which I don't know if you are using on your friends HTPC. Mine worked OK when I had 2 Gb but now I have 6 Gb it does not.

According to the Hauppauge forums Hauppauge have been aware of the problem for a year and a half but are unable to fix it.

As I do not know if you are using an x64 operating system with 4 Gb or more this may not be the reason, but I thought I would suggest it as it is a known problem.

Hi Mew, it's simply a 32-bit xp with 1Gb of Ram so just a regular setup which has worked fine with v2.2 of MP.
