[not reproducible] No signal: Terratec Cinergy DVB-C PCI (1 Viewer)

Hi.

Just bought Terratec's Cinergy DVB-C PCI tuner - Running MP RC4

Have tried scanning manually for both Transponder lists & specific Transponders - All with no luck - "No signal".

My Cable provider refers to searching on Freq: 346 Mhz, QAM64 Signal: 6900

Bug 1:
When searching for Transponders lists, it finds 26 - But when MP then is scanning all 26 transponders, it reponds with "No signal" on all transponders

Even when manually trying to search on these 26 transponders, I get "no signal"

When searching with TransEdit software I find 224 channels - all with name and everything. (I have perfect signal)

Bug 2:
When trying to scan for Transponder list second time in MP, I get "Scan done, found 0 Transponders" (Something seems to crash up scanning engine)

Temporary solution: Restart TV-server service, and it works again - but only 1 time, then I have to restart Tv-service again to do another scan.

Here is some log files showing the bug:

First scanning: Open Tv-server configuration - Goto advanced Scanning for Terratec Card - Scan for Transponder list - Result: Finds Transponders, but no channels

Second scanning: Re-Open Tv-server configuration - Goto advanced Scanning for Terratec Card - Scan for Transponder list - Result: No Transponders found at all - Generates error.log

Regardless of which Transponder I search, MP is capable of finding the Transponders list the first time, but with "No Signal" result on all transponders.

Have attached a screenshot showing resultat when scanning all transonders with TransEdit - The result is fine - and here I can also keep searching without any crashes.

Hi,

Others have solved their problems with the TerraTec Cinergy C PCI HD card by downgrading the driver from version 1.01.01.501 to version 1.01.00.601. I have attached a link to the older driver versions: Index of /Receiver/Cinergy_C_PCI_HD/Update/History

Have tried both with 1.1.1.501 & 1.1.0.601 - Both with no luck

The workaround you refers to is the channel swtich problem.

This is another issue - But thanks for trying to help

Just tried removing my analog card & changing both priority and scanning settings on Card to DVB-C from Generic

All with no luck.........

Any suggestions/confirmations on this bug?

A little Update.

Moved Tv-card to other PC too test - did not want to completely reinstall Mediaportal + all plugins)

On another Pc with same Win 7 + MP RC4 installation scanning worked!

This issue have nothing to do with Driver, because tried 2 different driver (native Windows + 1.1.1.501), and both worked with Test-PC, but not on my Mediacenter

Comparing logfiles, I have noticed that psisdecd.dll fil is different on the 2 computers..........Why i do not know - both have automatic Windows 7 updates enabled. Updated psisdcd.dll to ver. 6.6.7600.16485 on Mediacenter computer by installing Windows update KB977863

This did not fix the problem!

Next difference in log files is: LocekdInOnSignal

Okay - This is getting more and more weird!

Completely removed all of my Mediaportal installation+Mediaportal folder!

Reinstalled RC4 again - Same problem - Can find Transponder list, but no channels!

Removed everything(MP, Microsoft Visual C++ & Mysql 5.1)

Then I installed old MP 1.0.2 - This Works! -

But this also uses Microsoft SQL Server, and not Mysql Server 5.1.......

Uninstalling Mysql and installing it through the MP Installer gives an error.

MYSQL - Set password error: 1

And it still does not work - MP and TV-server runs without any errors(although the above error!?!?!)

It seems that my Mysql installation maybe is the cause of this issue - But how can this be? Has the upgrade from RC2 to RC4 changed anything in the MYSQL setup?

Any suggestions to a fix/workaroung will be greatly appreciated.

Why can't I install Mysql again?????

FIXED!

YEEEES! Breakthrough...........after several hours of work!

Complete uninstallation does not delete old Mysql files!. (Files has probably been corrupted or RC updating has been the reason - Bug Maybe?)

Removed MySQL Directories under C:\ProgramData and c:\Programfiles + reinstalled all MP components.

Now it finds both transponderlist and channels + Rescan works as well

Suggestion to fix :
"Complete MP uninstall" option in Uninstaller should delete old MP MySQL files.

glad it is fixed. No idea why mySQL ot corrupted but looking through logs I can see no explanation of this.

Marking as not-reproducable
