Hi,

I use MP 1.3.0 with Windows 8 on my home theatre system. I have a Digital Devices Cine S2 V6.5 TV card with an Octopus Dual CI module.

Before MP I used Windows MCE with no problems at all. I am able to find and watch all my channels, Free to air and Pay-TV channels.

But when I installed MP and did the TV Server config, I only get "No signal" messages when I try to scan for channels. No matter what I try it's not possible to get MP running.

I uploaded my logs. Please help. Media Portal seems to be much better than MCE.

Hi, I think I might be on to something here, can you try the following:

- Open DVBCineconfig
- Press "Common Interface Module"
- Uncheck everything
- Reboot
- Try to scan

If you can find channels:

- Press "Common Interface Module"
- Check the box under "1" for tuner 1
- Check the box under "2" for tuner 2
- Reboot
- Try to scan

Hi,

I tried to unmount the CI from the TV card and was able to scan and watch TV with Media Portal!

When I mounted the CI again, the same shit happened again! I assume that this must be a bug from MP TV-Server or a driver issue with Digital Devices.

I do not get the "no signal" issue when my settings are like this:

But I do have it when they're like this:

Anything new?[DOUBLEPOST=1364938377][/DOUBLEPOST]Maybe the Octopus Dual CI is still unsupported by MP

Take a look in the BIOS if there is an option called "C1E" and disable that. Seems DDs CI-module is sensitive to this.
Discovered that problem myself today using Cine S2 Rev 5.5 + DD CI.
C1E enabled -> no signal, C1E disabled -> works

Maybe that helps.

I've had some problems With my DD tuner/CIs but it seems to be working now and here is a summary of problems/sollutions I've either found on the forum or figgured out myself.

    No Signal when scanning:

    - Disable C1E in bios (Tom92)
    - Wrong settings in DVBCineConfig (Karakas)
    - Antenna is plugged into both tuners on the card, it is enough to only have the antenna plugged into one of the tuners on the card, plugging it into both caused the "no signal" issue for me.

Black screen when trying to tune a scrambled channel:

I experienced an issue where time shifting started but all I got was a black "video", I switched out the CAM and that seems to have fixed the issue.
