No sound for AAC TV channel (HD) (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a problem with a specific tv channel, there are no sound with Media Portal.
This this an IPTV HD channel. It work correctly with VLC

I think this his a LAV or codec problem but I can't fnd a correct config.

For me the sample doesn't work with LAV or Monogram, but it works with the DivX AAC decoder.

I suspect this the problem listed here - https://issues.team-mediaportal.com/browse/MP1-3120

As mm says, the only solution at present is to use the DivX AAC decode filter.

It looks like the latest versions of the DivX player installer don't install the 'codec pack' (which is what you need) .

The last version that does include it is 10.1 - you can get the full installer (82 MB) for it here - http://www.oldapps.com/divx_player.php (note it must be 10.1, not 10.1.1, and when you install it don't allow it to update to the latest version). You only need the codec pack, so you can untick the other boxes in the installer.

The 'DivX AAC Decoder' should then show up as an option in MP for the 'LATM AAC audio' selection (in TV codecs)

All tested in GraphStudio with Medaiportal file renderer

The MainConcept and DivX AAC decoders are basically identical (MainConcept is owned by DivX).

the sample works here with LAV (0.62) on W7, though i tested it only in GraphStudio.
@cnicolas @yoplay what version of LAV filters have you installed? what OS do you test it on?
