No sound in MyTV (1 Viewer)

Just installed this, so Im a noob at this, but I ran the setup. It scanned through and found all my terrestrial channels, but when I went to try out mytv there was no sound at all for any channel. I get the sound effects from moving the curser etc, but no sound from the channels. I tried playing with audio codecs and such but to no avail. Im in the UK by the way. Can anyone help?

EDIT: Sorry, I actually have no sound at all. I tried playing some music and I got no sound either. Any ideas?

No sound playing using Windows Media Player, or just within MediaPortal.

If Windows you need to check sounds in Control Panel, Mediaportal check audio renderer.

After playing around some more Ive managed to get sound in everything but mytv. So maybe theres some incompatability with my tv car or something? Its an avermedia avertv usb card. I know the tv card works fine with other applications, so theres no faulty connection or anything.

Ok, I have sound now. It only came on after I changed the codec to mpeg multiplexer, restarted mediaportal and then changed them back to what I had before and then it suddenly worked.

EDIT: False hope, sounds gone again now.
