Hello,
I have got an interesting, but also very annoying problem with the analoge part of my tv-card, DVB-T is working fine. I connected my old vhs video player to the composite port of my tv card and i get video+sound in the TV Server configuration, but I only get video in MediaPortal (TV Client), no audio there. I really wonder what (and where between client and server) the problem could be. The analoge part of the tv card comest without an hardware-encorder, so it is a software-encoder-card. I installed the AMD AVIVO Software to get it working, this was mentioned here:
Software_Encoding_Card_Setup
I have tried the different codecs from the mediaportal settings witch installed on the computer, I did not get sound in the tv client with any of them. I have searched for the correct audio-input in the TV Server configuration (TV Channels>Edit Channels>Edit>Crossbar parameters>Line in #2). I also gave the highest priority to the ATI AVIVO MPEG AUDIO Encoder in TV Server condiguration>Gernal>Software Encoders>Audio Encoders.
I would be very happy if anyone has a helping idea, I would like to watch and record some of the old tapes.
Greeting HDnewt
BTW.:

I am not able to select the ATI AVIVO MPEG Audio Decoder in as decoder in the MediaPortal configuration program. It is not listed under TV Codecs (or any other codec site there).
I wanted to use my Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE to connect the player to the computer, but its driver can't handle more than 3GB RAM.
