Hi,

I have my DBs centralized on my server which is working great so far. the only problem I have: The clients are no more going into standby. If I use local DBs for MP all is working well, this problem is only if I used DBs on the network share.

I dont use the standby plugin, I use the standard W7 standby feature. I testet this scenario with the MP standby plugin activated and W7 standby disabled, but its the same problem.

Any hints?

I used to have problems with my system when I used a server setup where the systems would go into hibernate and then get woken up immediately. It turned out to be the system waking up due to my router UPNP settings. I disabled the routers UPNP and it fixed the problem.

You could try that.

unfortunately all my upnp settings are disabled. i think the problem is the networks access to the dbs which prevents the standby. if i close mp the client is going asleep as it should.

You might be able to download a tool which can kill network connections which you can get MP to run prior to hibernation (I think there is an option to run a command prior to hibernate - I am away at the moment so I can't look at my own HTPC).
