I am surprised that the .ts files are not huge as predicted by the Help in Nebula's DigiTV file, so .ts do not seem to be a problem. "Record Entire Transport Stream For advanced users only. The Transport Stream is the raw data stream that contains all of the programmes on a single UHF channel. There can be as many as 8 separate programmes in each stream and so recording it will consume disk space very quickly. Selecting this option means that if you start a recording, it will record the entire data stream present at the time rather than just the programme you're watching. This was especially useful with older versions of DigiTV as it allowed you to record multiple programs if they were being broadcast simultaneously on the same multiplex, e.g. if you wanted to record both BBC1 and BBC2 at the same time.
