Hi,

after installing SP1 via WindowsUpdate on Vista 64bit, the TV_Server can't find any TV-Cards. I've tried several SVNs.
I'm using the latest (1.1.0.301) driver for my Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD. Display, chipset and sound-drivers are up to date, too.
Using the Terratec Home Cinema Software, I can watch TV. So I suppose the Card an drivers are OK?

Is there anything else I have to update / install along with SP1 to get MediaPortal back to work?

I hope anyone can help me.

after endless hours of testing, installing, updating, downgrading drivers and software, I've come to the conclusion, that the terratec cinergy c pci HD drivers aren't fully compatible with Vista SP1. I've testet both the 1.1.0.101 and 1.1.0.301 drivers. The only thing that seems to work is the Terratec Home Cinema Software.

Is there anyone out there who has mamaged to get this crappy piece of hardware to work with SP1? Otherwise I'll give XP a try...

Thanks,

Are you sure the driver are digitally signed?
the DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS command won't work after SP1

so maybe you can try by pressing F8 on boot and run without driver signing, and if that was the problem you can use this to disable it permanently ;)

Hi Mouch.net,

I'm quite sure, that the drivers 1.1.0.301 and 1.1.0.101 are digitally signed, because I reinstalled them several times after SP1, and there was no warning.

But my problem dissapeared today, after installing the twinhan 1.1.0.400 driver. The cards where then found by mediaportal server. They were reported as DVB-S cards, so I -once again- reinstalled the terratec 1.1.0.301 drivers. And from there on, the cards work like a charm with MediaPortal.

I don't even want to know why :D

:D anyways...
