Hi,

I've been struggling unsuccessfully to get Media Portal 2 Summer to actually show live tv. Before Windows 10, I had successfully installed and used MP 1.11.0.0 in Windows 7 Ult 64bit on two desktop machines (both single seat installs).

Desktop 1 converted to Windows 10 but had problems, so I had to do a clean install of 10.
Desktop 2 converted to 10 successfully and is still successfully using MP 1.11

I installed 1.11 on desktop 1, but it didn't work. Uninstalled (I hope) 1.11 and downloaded and installed MP 2 Summer 15, configured the TV setup (using WebEPG) and - nothing! EPG is populated properly, but when I click on a programme, nothing happens.

The log files are attached plus an image of one of the MP directories showing that EVRPresenter.dll does, in fact, exist.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi dfraga,

I received your response via email but it doesn't appear in the thread. Yes I have mapped the the channels to the tuners (I have a dual tuner Hauppauge HVR2200 TV card and an August T210 USB tuner (for the HD channels). Both of these are the UK names, don't know if they are called something else in the States. I've uploaded a .png file of the TV setup window for one of the tuners. The other two are similar. What concerns me most is that the client log shows that MP2 could not find EVRPresenter.dll, even though it is present in MP2's directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Plugins\VideoPlayers).

Hi jehe.

No I haven't installed next MP2 (was that obvious from the link you provided?) and I don't know how to get the TV Server (where is it?) and I've long since NOT used the Win TV product from Hauppauge.

HOWEVER, you did trigger my brain into another line of attack - I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the Hauppauge card and the August USB tuner (early Win 7 drivers were what I was using) and bingo, I have TV! :)

Problem solved.

Thanks for your time and suggestions, everyone.

Hi Jongar, my apologies. I deleted my response because I realized it didn't make sense. I don't think you could map the EPG without scanning the channels first. It seems every time I try to help, I stick my foot in my mouth. :censored: I was just trying to see if something basic had been overlooked which is quite easy to do when first learning a new setup. At least for me:D Glad to hear you are up an running!

No problem dfraga. I worked in IT for 35 years before I retired - the only reason I have a big mouth is because I sometimes had both feet in at the same time ;)
