No TV Guide or TV (1 Viewer)

Was working ok this morning, was about to watch a DVD with the seperate DVD player and thought I'd check what was recording. Noticed that the REC light was going on and off on the home screen. Checked TV Guide, supposed to be recording a program (TV Guide working). Noticed that I'd lost E:, crap, the program isn't being recorded! (the recorded TV files drive, program data and other computer stuff on C. Shut down PC, changed to another SATA on the motherboard. Reboot, checked E:, it's there, and the next program is being recorded, cool. Watch the DVD, get back on the computer, check TV Guide, no listings. Channels there. Hit the TV On button, get "unknown error occured" coming up. Run EPG Collector, TVGuide.xml is being updated ok. Run WinTV, the tv guide and TV signal is working on there ok. The program was recorded ok while I was watching the DVD, I'll check to see if the next one records as well. I've rebooted and also shut down and restarted, still no go in the tvguide and TV in mediaportal. Any ideas? All the file paths seem to be ok.

This seems to happen quite frequently (based on reports). Is there some way we can automatically repair the database, since we are able to detect this?

This should be pushed back to the mysql dev guys.

It's why I changed to ms SQL - this has never corrupt on me.

Yes, we could execute the command to repair automatically. I posted a similar suggestion several months back but Arion didn't like the idea so I put the thought in my mental rubbish bin.

Part of the reason could be that we distribute a version of MySQL that is relatively old now. I run the latest version and I have never had a problem, but then I also ran the older version in the past as well and never had a problem then either. I have the feeling that the EPG grabber is able to trigger this if it picks up corrupt data, however that is just a hunch. I don't use the EPG grabber.

Cool, that worked. I was wondering if that might be where the problem was. First time I've had this happen.
