No TV in Windows 2000 (1 Viewer)

[Windows Version: W2k SP4
1. TV Card: Happauge PVR150
1. TV Card Type: analog

Hi, settled back to W2k and found myself cut from my TV. First, some good news for all People wanting to switch:
-MCE Replacement Drivers do work in W2k
-my unstable HDMI Connecton now works(when turning TV off and back on there was no Signal in Vista and XP)

Now I have a problem with getting my TV to work. I know that W2k is not offically supported, but maybe we get it to run anyways - everything but TV works. In the Configuration, TV does run, in MP itself it doesnt, TV doesn't start when going into myTV(altough it should), then i trigger TV on manually and get an empty Message box, press OK and I'm back where I started.

Do a search dude - you need to manually install the DVR-MS support files.
See the tips & tricks part of the forum.

MP only supports XP & Vista btw.

Media Portal is XP and Vista only and analog cards aren't all supported, also make sure you have service pack 2 for XP and the latest BDA drivers(if you use a NVIDIA GPU, you might want to consider getting PureVideo)

Hi, thanks for your replys, I allready installed the DVR drivers. I know that 2000 isn't supported, but I wanted to give it a try. I knew there will be problems, but everything else is running to my satisfaction. I get that "class not registered" error also when trying to record something in WinTV, so I think the issue is somewhere in the driver for the TVCard - I installed the ones for MCE first. Now I will remove them and see what is happening, if not, I have to watch TV again just like everyone else

Did a search on my HWResult 80040273 and found: It could be traced to a missing .NET 3.0 - which doesn't support Windows 2000 - somehow I have to get it work or I will freak out on this

Short update:
-VMR9 works(normal Videos play via VMR9)
-WMP9 and DX90c reinstalled from redists
-BDE Drivers do work(WinTV2000 does timeshifting)
-Still getting errors from CLSID {51B4ABF3-748F-4E3B-A276-C828330E926A}/quartz.dll with that DDraw not present HWResult

Solution was to turn off the exclusive mode in the VMR9 renderer
