Hi Folks,

Hopefully im just doing something really stupid, but.............

I just did an upgrade to Mediaportal 1.1 along with TV server too.

Everything was working at first with my old setup but then I started getting "unable to start timeshift" error messages which made me lose out on the Tv side of it.

Now after my install...... I dont even have a "My TV" option in my menus :(

I know the TV card is working as it works fine with WinTV program and the TV srever config program has scanned and recognised all the channels I had prior to my upgrade to MP1.1

Please help, am I really just being stupid?

Best wishes,

Scott.

    Hi

I sounds as if TVServer/client is not installed.
Can you verify that everything is installed?
Do you have TVServer Config program on desktop/StartMenu?
Is your TV card configured there?

Hi Rekenaar, thanks for the only reply.

I finally got it sorted today after un-installing everything and then doing an absolute clean install. I found some info for a seperate issue someone else was having but it sounded like it could have affected my setup so gave it a try.

I think what was happening was that as I had upgraded instead of doing a clean install, there was an issue with the TV program side of things.

Thanks again for your reply my friend.

    Scott.

Yes, I saw some other posts where the upgrade did not work since tvservice could not be stopped. Maybe the same.

Anyway, glad you sorted it out.

    Enjoy :)
