Have just upgraded PC to Windows 10 from 7 (with Media Center) and installed Ver 1.12 of MediaPortal. I've been through every setup procedure I could find on the web site and still get no picture on my PC. I'm using the CODECs that were installed with MP and am not all that familiar with the pros and cons of the various CODECs. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    Hello and welcome Bob :)

You've done well to post log files and fill system specs (y)
Unfortunately the log files don't show the problem, because they don't show you attempting to view a channel. Also, your codec configuration looks okay to me. So, could you please try to collect log files again.

Use the watchdog with option 1.
After you click "proceed", MediaPortal should load.
Go to the TV section and attempt to view 2 channels - ideally 1 HD and 1 SD - for 30 seconds each.
After this, close MediaPortal and attach the resulting zip file.

    Thanks in advance,
    mm
    :)

    That's perfect, thanks Bob (y)

It looks like there's something funky going on with the LAV audio codec or your system audio.

Can you please describe your audio setup?
I mean, do you use HDMI connected to your monitor/TV, or old-style analog stereo output... ?
Does audio work in other software?

On the chance that this is a problem with the LAV audio codec, you could try installing the [free] AC3Filter codec:
    http://www.ac3filter.net/

After installing, you need to select it in MediaPortal configuration here:

My audio setup is speakers connected directly to PC audio output when viewing on the PC. Loaded the ac3filter and got partial success. I was able to view non-HD channels with audio but received a "no video or audio detected" error message when trying to select HD channels. I've attached a file showing these actions. By the way my intent is to record programs off the air to play later via our home theatre system (connected by Ether net) using a Sony BDP-S5100 Blue Ray disc player in turn interfaced to an Onkyo received via HDMI. The receiver then outputs the video to the TV via HDMI and the audio directly to speakers. This setup worked well using Media Center (Windows 7). Now that I've upgraded to Windows 10 these files will no longer play either, I suspect another Codecs issue. For some reason the forum won't let me upload the diagnostics file so I'll try to attach it to a reply to your email. Thanks so much for your help and patience.[DOUBLEPOST=1441747012][/DOUBLEPOST]I don't know if my earlier posting went through so here it is again.

    Hello again Bob

This is just a quick reply to say I got your message and I'm looking at your log files now. I'll reply again as soon as I have had a chance to analyse.

    Right, here we go.

My audio setup is speakers connected directly to PC audio output when viewing on the PC.
Okay. I guess the problem was something to do with LAV audio then. The AC3Filter audio codec should be fine for your TV needs. If you wanted to use LAV audio for some reason, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the LAV codecs.

Loaded the ac3filter and got partial success. I was able to view non-HD channels with audio but received a "no video or audio detected" error message when trying to select HD channels. I've attached a file showing these actions.
Hmmm. What I see happening is that you tune "THISTV" followed by "KETCKid", and finally "KETC HD".

    "THISTV" tunes without problem.

"KETCKid" tunes with your first tuner, but after 15 seconds TV Server still hasn't received the video/audio stream from the tuner. You probably noticed it was very slow to tune, and that is why. Anyhow, TV Server falls back to using your second tuner, which works fine.

"KETC HD" had a similar problem to "KETCKid" (ie. tuning successful, stream never received) except with both tuners. That's why you got the "no video or audio detected" message.

Would I be correct to assume all of these channels worked fine with WMC?

I see that you have 2 network connections:
    1. Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz)
    2. Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Is your HDHR connected via the wired ethernet controller, or via the wireless connection?

    On a hunch...
Can you please try to change the "preferred network provider" setting from "generic" to "ATSC" for both tuners. You can find that setting in TV Server configuration as shown here:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...nfiguration/02_TV_Servers#Edit_Tuner_Settings

Yes, all channels worked with WMC.
    HDHR uses a wired connection.
I changed the provider setting on the tuners to ATSC and got nothing, blank screen.
Changed provider setting back to generic and started getting a lot more channels. I went through all 25 of my channels (verified on a separate TV that all were broadcasting) and got 15 of 25 OK although more than half tuned slow, watched the tuners change. On 10 I got "No video/audio detected" error message. On a couple of occasions I got the No video/audio detected on a channel that had tuned earlier. In the attached file the 1st and 4th channels tuned quickly, the 5th tuned slow, and the 2nd, 3rd, & 6th gave me the No video/audio detected error. It seems things are on the verge of working.....a bit frustrating.

Hmmm, do you run any network security software (firewall, anti-virus etc.)? ...and if so, have you configured it to allow TV Server to access your network?

I believe so because my PC is the TV server. I use Norton 360 as my anti-virus protection and it caused no issues with WMC.
