I have completely reinstalled my MediaCenter.
    Windows 7, Terratec S7, Motherboard Asrock H77M

I have scanned the channels and there were no problems finding them, but I get nothing but a black screen no matter what channel I choose. There are no error messages at all, just black screen.
I have tried a remote client too - same problem.

If I look at TV streams on the TV server configuration, I can see that it is actually streaming, so there is fine connection.

I started out with the standard codecs from windows, then I downloaded the LAV filters and enabled the for TV - no change.

I have probably forgotten a setting somewhere, but I can't find it. (Same problem on TV-server configuration/preview)

    Firewall settiings perhaps?

    Suggest posting logs.

Had same myself couple of days ago after machine totally killed itself & had to reinstall OS & MePe - lost sound on system (due to vendor driver update I think) and no sound meant no picture on TV, but stream & EPG perfect as expected - does everything else work as expected?

    Cheers - J.

Firewall was configured during setup so I can't imagine it is the problem. An other odd thing is that I know the remote client received the stream because the graphicscard fan started making loads of noice until I stopped the stream.

I don't know if rest of MP is working - TV is my first test on the new setup.

Will start scanning my movie library to see if I can see videos.

Logs - yes of cause forgot. Will update with logs

Ah - I always leave TV until last as it requires extra things to work over and above the basics - if you've tinkered with anything other than MePo, would suggest checking video playback outside of MePo, so fingers don't get pointed too soon in the game:)

    Hi,

do you have vlc player installed on your HTPC or desktop PC? ? if so, start timeshifting manually inside the TV config -> Manual control -> start timeshift.
If you see that the timeshifting has started, open the vlc player and open the stream rtsp://localhost/stream2.0 if you see a picture, then the timeshifting works properly. Please also take a look inside the timeshift folder you entered and watch out if there will be *.ts files created.

hmmm... haven't done anything special with the MySQL. Assumed MP installer did the required?
Now I probably messed further up because I changed computer name. Will this affect the MySQL database?

I have now tried to do a recording. A .ts file is created and I tried to play it via VLC. Black screen!
I have also checked the timeshift file - it is created. Have not tried to play it - I figure it will be same problem as recording.

(renaming the mediacenter is in place - database and clients adjusted acordingly)

Also, I have tried to play a DVD - it works perfectly.
And I have tried this on the TVDB:
    CD C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin
    mysqlcheck mptvdb --auto-repair -e -u root -p
    Everything gets status OK

    EPG is also working fine

I have an other odd thing.
When trying to copy a file into C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin Windows says I need administrator rights to do it???
There is only one user created on the system and is of cause an administrator - why can't I write a file???

Can my problem have something to do with access rights?
