I just installed MP1.2.3 under Win7 x64 and can't get the TV Server configuration program to start. I get the UAC prompt, and after confirming it nothing happens for a long time. Then I get the attached error message. If I look at the task list, it seems to be running, but no user interface appears. Logs are attached

    Hi there,

The issue is that the TVServer can not connect to the DB.

Can you post you gentle config file.

    Is your MySQL database ok?

Here is gentle.config. How can I tell if the MySQL DB is OK? What can I do if it isn't?

P.S: Obviously there is a problem with MySQL, as I keep getting alternating errors in the Windows event log on startup:
    Code:
Plugin 'InnoDB' init function returned error.
    and
    Code:
Plugin 'InnoDB' registration as a STORAGE ENGINE failed.
How can I fix this? I already tried a complete reinstall of TV Server.

Did you install MySQL yourself, or did it get installed with MP?
Did you also uninstall MySQL when you tried the complete reinstall?

I used MP install to install MySQL, but didn't think to uninstall it myself after the "complete" uninstall. I naively assumed that the MP uninstall would take care of that. I have now uninstalled MySQL and am trying to install MP with SQL Express 2008 instead, since I have read that it performs better and is more reliable. Unfortunately, I am having no better results. You can find the gory details here.

P.S. I did use the uninstall routine to drop the DB, but didn't uninstall MySQL completely.
