I've tried quite a few different decoders - MPV, ARC, ffdshow, and just installed PowerDVD which has 4 by itself (all for the MPEG2). H.264 I've tried Cyberlink, ARCsoft, and ffdshow as well. I should clarify something - the error does not initially come up. Rather, I sit on a blank screen (no video/audio) and when I click on the screen is when the error occurs (I assume this activates some timeshifting component). My guess is I'm somehow missing the link to even play the video/audio - and as a result the timeshifting does not know what to do. Upgrading my drivers for on-board ATI Raedon 3200H - seems others had problems relating to this... fingers crossed. Success... after too much frustration! I googled the error you pointed out, and led me to an issue with my video card (ATI Raedon HD 3200). Upgraded to fresh new drivers and we now have video! DVD suddenly works again as well... Thanks for all the help... now to work on getting some of the fun stuff to work like a new skin!
