Preview does not work, but playing the timeshift file in VLC does work (hence the stream works)</li> </ul><p></p><p>CLIENT:</p><ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">I set the TV server hostname (in the client configuration) to 10.0.0.2 (I first tried "server" (the hostname) on the Windows 7 computer, but then got errors like "Could not connect, port ___ not open, or similair"</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">I open MediaPortal, go to TV, then TV guide.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">I see all channels I configured earlier</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">I choose a channel to watch</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">I get the error "Unable to play: stream1.0 [newlinex2] Audio codec:</li> </ul><p></p><p>The only oddity I can see when checking the logs is in the error log:</p><p>"Failed to open file:rtsp://server/stream1.0 :0x80004005"</p><p></p><p>Obviously MediaPortal has itself got the host name from the ip address - could this be the issue??</p><p></p><p></p><p><em>Edit: No progress at all really, just a question - where is the actual decoding done? I mean, if the decoding should be done on the server, maybe that is the problem? How does it work?</em></p><p></p><p></p><p>Anyway, I feel very lost and would greatly appreciate any help!
