I tried MisterD's suggestion above, and bumped up the priority of the Hauppauge encoder over the Cyberlink's ones. Unfortunately, it didn't get rid of the "no video/audio detected" error which was popping up when I first started My TV. The later builds of TVServer may have changed something for the better, because after getting the above error after starting My TV, if I click OK to close the error box, then go to start TV again, everything would work fine, until I restart MP. I can't be absolutely sure, but MisterD's patch seemed to speed up channel changing. I reverted back to bumping up the Cyberlink encoders, since the Hauppauge ones (Mainconcept) were producing a pretty bad audio/video sync problem. Since trying MisterD's patch, I have uninstalled TVServer and installed the next build, which presumably overwrote the patched files. I also assume that whatever changes were made by MisterD's MSSQL script remain. My error problem did disappear, BTW. I had seen a message from someone here about resolving this by adding an external drive. I tried it with my NAS, but it didn't get rid of the error. Yesterday I plugged in a 250GB external drive, set TVServer to record and time-shift to it, and the error went away! It may be a combination of the drive and MisterD's MSSQL script, or who knows.... What does the script modify, BTW? The issue now is, that after turning on the TV everything is good, but once I change channels, the audio and video go out of sync. Changing decoders around helps a little, but it doesn't make it perfect. The only way to resync, is to stop TV, then start it again while at the new channel, and then it's perfect. Any ideas how to fix this? (I am using Hauppauge PVR-950 with Vista.)
