No Video in MY TV (1 Viewer)

Audio Codec: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder
Video Codec: DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder (Tried all other Codecs as well this one gives me the blip before black)
CPU Type: AMD Sempron 2200+
Memory: 1 GB
Motherboard: A7N8X2.0 (ASUSTeK Computer INC.)
TV Card Model: Hauppauge PVR 350
TV Card Type: Hardware
TV Card Driver: 2.0.35.23258
Video Card Model: Radeon 9600 Series (omega 3.8.221) (128 MB)
Video Card Driver: -
Video Card Resolution: 800x600
Video Render Type: VMR9 (I have tried Overlay as well same result)


This is driving me crazy, I cannot get Video to display in the TV portion of Media Portal, I have managed to play around with settings to get a Blip of an image using VMR 7 instead of VMR9, but then it goes black after that. WinTV2000 works (of course) it displays TV just fine. I have all the updates and security patches, also did the recommended updates I saw on this forum. What am I doing wrong any suggestions? I have been reading the forums all day yesterday and today, unfortunatly I was unsuccessful in finding an answer to my problem. Let me know if you need any additional information. I am a slight noob at this so please forgive me if I missed something.

    Hi,

    some tipps that may help and settings that should work
    - use BlueTwo as skin
    - use VMR9 as renderer
    - MPEG2Dec for video
    - MPEG/AC3/DTS for audio
    - You may try these drivers: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9027.0

    Did tuning work?
    Do you still here the sound?
    Something visible in the logs? (error.log, mediaportal.log, capture.log)
    - start MP
    - start My TV
    - stop / exit MP
    => /Team Media Portal/MediaPortal/logs/

    Thank you very much for the response! Here is what I have changed still to no avail:

    -- Installed CVS Build 2006-03-01
    -- Changed to BlueTwo as a skin
    -- VMR9 is the default in the CVS build and I cannot change to anything else :)
    -- Using MPEG2Dec for Video
    -- Using MPEG/AC3/DTS for Audio
    -- Uninstalled Hauppauge drivers according to instructions on this post http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9027.0 and installed the new beta drivers.


    Unfortunatly, the same thing happens, audio is crispy clear but no picture.

    Hi,

    I have these errors too, but my PVR 350 is working. :?

    Can you do recordings? Do they playback?
    What is with turning timeshift on / off?
    Did you run start.bat after applying the CVS?
    Do you know Graphedit? This could give a clue....

    Okay so it's probably not the errors in the log that's the problem.

    I can record, it plays back a black screen with sound.
    Timeshift on or off I've tried both does the same thing.
    I did run the start.bat after applying the CVS.
    I do not know Graphedit, I can look into it though. Any pointers to get me started on Graphedit or a link to help me out?

    how do the recordings play outside MP, eg. in WMP?

    Graphedit - a tool to check if all DirectShow filters are connected and working:

    - Start GEdit
    - Start MP
    - Start My TV
    - Stop Timeshift
    - In GEdit: File->Connect to remote graph
    - Try to arrange the filters, make a screenshot, look for not connected graphs

    Interesting just before trying the GEdit, I wanted to try and reinstall MP again, just for shxts and giggles. During the installation and CVS update, I did an autotune and low and behold there was live tv showing on my screen. I am assuming that because none of these channels are named that, that maybe the problem I will not play with the EPG for a little bit. Now I seem to have other issues, but I will try an work them out. Just want to say thanks Flip you were a big help!
