I had to reinstall windows XP then all the drivers and the codecs (k-lite codec pack), as before.</p><p>Windows Media Player and Media Player Classics can read .avi, .mov, .mpg etc. movies as well as DVD. Mediaportal cannot anymore. When I try to any video with MP, it shows "Unable to play xxx"</p><p>So to try to solve the problem I:</p><p>- update video card drivers (ATI)</p><p>- downgraded MP version (1.0)</p><p>- changed type of codec in MP configuration (both standard MPV/MPA and ffdshow)</p><p>but nothing changed.</p><p>I don't want to use external player (that anyway works) but I want to use MP internal player.</p><p></p><p>Where can I further investigate this problem?
