No wheather information found and no preview for the videditor (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Some question & things to try.
Can you try to update your windows installation (with Windows update)?
This is a full XP installation, no lightpack version?
Try to lower your screen resolution (just to test) to 800X600?
If you use any plugins not installed by MP 0.2.0.0 Finale or SVN please remove them.

Windows update works - autoupdate.
It is a lightpack install but it is running over one year with mp and ´till last week I ´m runnung an 02RC4 and everything works fine.
Used plugins are myExplorer and myKeys and multishortcutplugin which worked fine , too.
I guess I test the screen resulution change!

you are using an untested nightly svn build.
have you tested 0.2.0.0 release version too?

I suggest that you try with 0.2.0.0
1. uninstall MediaPortal
2. delete MediaPortal folder
3. install 0.2.0.0
4. configure MediaPortal (add city to MyWeather if not working upload your logs)
5. start MediaPortal
6. go to MyWeather
7. click "refresh" button
8. if no information is downloaded quit MediaPortal and upload your MediaPortal.log

btw.
The Radeon 9250 you are using is not DirectX 9 compatible as required for MediaPortal. This could cause high CPU loads.

Yes , I know that the Radeon isn´t complete Direct X 9 ready - but still working for a year!? Maybe this could be the reason for the videditor? 02RC4 was working!?
O.K.
I´ve tested some things now. Disabled any other plugins than those who where in the off. release. Although checked windows update -> works . And changed the resulution. No wheather was displayed.

Now I test what infinityloop says and will post.

I can get no weather since the weekend.

But I changed a couple of things lately all the same time:

# moved my htpc and attached a tft. changed resolution to 19" (1280x1024)
(have to build my living-room around the new lcd-tv )
# added some links to weather location from FlipGer (wiki: Humidity, wind, etc.)
# updated to newer svn (16.09.2006)

skin is blue2
so, it could be a couple of things in my case, no logs atm, at work now.

garion3 has no weather info too. Confirmed on irc with svn 17.09

O.K.
Installed a clean 02 version - AND-> DVRMpgCut works and my wheather works.
The reason why I moved to SVN is the new music player and gapless playback.
So , any other reasons / tipps are welcome.

That's a step forward, I guess. Now I'd suggest to apply the very latest SVN version you can currently download to your clean 0.2 version after backing up the whole folder.

Hi all,
I installed the latest SVN and it works , too Yeah yeah yeah!!!!!

After that I make the whole config in MediaPortal and - HOLY SHIT! It didn´t work anymore!!???

Tried some step by step tests and figured out that the point with no weatherinformation was the fact that I choose a differnt visualisation for the music player (to be special: It was for sonique the one thats called AORTA)!
When I choose this one the musicplayer works perfect but no weatherinformation available.When choosing a normal winmediaplayer viz both works perfect.
So to say another step is done but I have no ideas why the aortaviz killz myweather.
Hope to get somemore help and hoping that this fact could help others or the devs , too - because it took me a long time , too and I hope it is useful for another user!

have you copied any files into the MediaPortal folder?
