Ok maybe I am going about this wrong. Please Please help, I am trying to do the following,
    1. Setup mediaportal so that I can record, store, and view videos downloaded or recorded and of course see the EPG in Media Portal. I have three HD Homerun Dual Tuners and have them using ATSC Over The Air HD and I am in the United States. It seems as though everything here is geared for everywhere in the World BUT the US. Please help?

I wonder which is better use For the Record ( I figured it out and have it installed and working it seems) or use the TV Server?

    PLEASE Help :D

Thanks but since I am out of a job, I am doing this as cheap as possible. I figured it out you have to setup an XML file and put it in the webepg US folder (i am in the us) and it works great... They really need to get some up to date How-To's so noobs like me dont pull our hair out trying to figure this out LOL...

Sure, you need to create a tvguide.xml file. Use Zap2itxml follow directions to create an tvguide.xml (command i used was
    zap2xml.exe -u yourusernamefromzap2it@email.com -p zap2itpasswordhere -d 14 -o tvguide.xml -A "new live" -i "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\tv\logos" I made this into a bat file and scheduled windows to run it once each night late...

this creates a tvguide.xml file. Make sure you have the tv card setup with channels setup (Mediaportal tv server). Now enable the plugin for XMLTV and point it to the tvguide.xml. Then check your channels on the mappings tab. Then run import on the first tab (general).

Now I am trying to get MP to name my recordings correctly..
