I really like mediaportal, it does everything great, it took a long while to get it running how i needed it, but in the ned i had it fantastic, except for one little thing, that is getting so annoying that it is making me really dislike mediaportal. I can do everything fine, except when i go to watch tv, sometimes it works fine, others there is no picture whatsoever only sound. I dont change any of the codecs or anything, it just stops working, and then randomly does when i try it another time. I have no idea what causes this, there is no real pattern or anything to when it happens, if someone knows whats causing it or is/was having the same problem, please reply! im at a loose end here!!!!!!!

Have you taken a look at the MediaPortal.log file after each "blank screen" to see if that gives a clue as to the cause? Take a note of the time that you attempt to turn TV on, and that will help to narrow the relevant lines in the MediaPortal.log file. Also, you could compare a MediaPortal.log file when TV works with the MediaPortal.log file when it fails - that might point to the cause?

Does the SiS M661MX video chip fully support DirectX 9 ?
