Hello All,

I use Mediaportal a few years now,and Im living in the Netherlands-Rotterdam
I have made a Mediacenter for a friend of mine but.......

I have configured the DVB-S card to tune 42 degree Turksat.
But it is not finding all channels/transponders.
The channels who I can not find are KANAL 7/SHOWTV and a few more wich are not so important.
I have tried to scan only the frequencie but I get no signal on that transponder.
I switched to another driver (I think 4,7) and have the same problem.
OS is up to date,Mediaportal is up to date.
If I use Firedtv viewer for a scan it finds signal but cannot find channels,after this if I use Mediaportal i get "No PMT FOUND"
After a restart i can use MP as usual but witout the channels what I am looking for.
Is there another program which can be used with the TV cards of Digital Everywhere?


Wich logfiles should I send here?

Please help.

First thing: have you updated the transponder lists by clicking "update satellite list" in the scanning screen.

The channels who I can not find are KANAL 7/SHOWTV and a few more wich are not so important.
I have tried to scan only the frequencie but I get no signal on that transponder.

You possibly used the wrong settings. For Kanal 7 use:

Frequency: 11777000
Symbol rate: 4800
Polarisation: horizontal
Modulation: not set
Inner FEC Rate: not set (I think... or maybe 5/6)
(DVB-S2 scanning should be disabled, and/or set pilot and roll off to not set).

For Show TV use:

Frequency: 11964000
Symbol rate: 5925
Polarisation: horizontal
Modulation: not set
Inner FEC Rate: not set (I think... or maybe 3/4)
(DVB-S2 scanning should be disabled, and/or set pilot and roll off to not set).

There is a chance that the symbol rate is too low for the card, but I think that is quite unlikely.

This is because using the card in FireDTV Viewer may upset TV Server. If you restart TV Server ("manual control" section of TV Server configuration => "stop service" => "start service") then it should work again.

DE cards generally work well in a lot of software. I don't think it is a software problem though...

Wich logfiles should I send here?

You should *always* supply *all* log files - both MediaPortal and TV Server. The easiest way to do this is probably to use the watchdog with option 3:

1. Find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu and start it.
2. Select option 3 "export all currently present logs".
3. Click "proceed" - this will create a zip file on your desktop.
4. Post the zip file here.

If you get stuck with anything (including attaching the zip file) then check -->here<-- for help. Make sure you have run MP configuration to create a MediaPortal config file before you run the watchdog.

I have tried those frequencies but I get also No Signal on these settings.
If I trie a frequencie who I had scanned and found channels,but this time only scanning that frequencies I also got No Signal.

I have posted the Log files,please am I doing something wrong?

Please try to scan with the CAM removed - I think it is either incompatible or at least having problems.

I have not reseated a CAM,but I have enabled it to record another channel.

Just tried to disabling and rescanning but again "No Signal"

Is there a tool for scanning indepandantly to see if that tool would found the channels?

This will have absolutely no effect for this problem. Either the CAM or attempts to use the tuner in other software at the same time as TV Server are causing problems. You do *not* need the CAM to be inserted to find encrypted channels in a scan so I really advise you to remove it temporarily and see if it helps.

Unless you deal with this problem you will have trouble no matter what software you try.

1. Install the latest driver.
2. Make sure you are using the legacy firewire driver.
3. Remove the CAM while testing.
4. Increase the delay before TV Server detects cards (wiki).

I have not a CAM neither a card inserted.
I have increased the scan time,this time it found KANAL 7 but without SHOWTV.
Linkage scanner should this be enabled?

Could the card been broken?

Well,the channels who were found have different content

Like:
-Atv avrupa --> NTV
-Kanal 7 --> something else
-TRT HD -->zidana ??? (this channel does not exist but it appears on 42 degree)
-TGRT EU --> Samanyolu

No one else who has this problem......everything is working with you?

What is the best "SCAN" time for DE cards,I have tried 2-3-4-5-7-9 seconds.
