Why would you need more then 20?? Just make some of them a sub-folders in a bigger one.

    Hi,

sorry, that is not really a bug. Its a design issue. MP unfortunately simply cannot handle more shares...

I have 5 Drives with a substructure by genre (adventure, action, drama, etc). When I use drives directly, we must know by heart what genre on which disk. This is for family members barely manage.

The database function of MP can not manage this, because OFDB / IMDB deliver several categories and provides an extensive retail processing.

It's a bug, in the configuration menu register of more than 20 Shares possible. Saving would loses just the more than 20 without any message.

    Very sorry for my english.
    Viele Grüße

A workaround could be to map every drive having as name all the genres that are on it...

    D:\ Kung-Fu - War - Action
    E:\ Comedy - Romance
    F:\ Manga - Cartoon

    Hi,

well I can agree on it be seen as a bug. But I fear the only change that would be done at the moment, would be a warning, if you add more than 20 folders. This won't help you at all, I think.

The genre problem of OFDB is something I also recognized. I made a feature request for some sort of "smart genre tagging". This way the database will not be flooded with that much genres meaning the same thing. So both problems will be addressed in the future, but not by now, sorry.

Furettos hint looks quite nice to me atm. You should consider this.
