Thanks. I just downloaded/installed the LAV filters, but I'll have to wait till I get home from work to actually try it out.

Just to make sure, when you say "set them for all audio", I am assuming you are referring to all the audio decoder/renderer choices under the 'Codecs and Renderer' link? (Video Codecs, TV Codecs, DVD Discs/Images Codecs)?

LOOpback,

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same issue, had some dvr-ms files that I renamed to .mpg. Now they play, but with no audio.

Thanks

In the end it was quicker to convert the drv-ms files into something else (think I ended up with AVI's).
As an aside I rebuilt two of my three boxes from scratch and got the same issue again but the files have converted well so I'm not too bothered.

Since then my MP experience has been pretty good. I kept getting corrupted TV recording which had coloured blocks all over the screen and the system would hang going into TV but resolved these by updating my dual DVB-S card drivers and setting the TV server (main HTPC) to reboot at 6am. Since then its been great.

Now running some pluggins like Streamed MP and YouTube.FM to enhance it even more and now don't think I'll be going back to M$ Media Centre any time soon.

Cheers

Alan

Nope just any audio, leave renderer alone , if using Windows 7 then at least you should get dxva with the M$ codecs for video\tv so the pressure is taken off your cpu, and the LAV Video codec will kick in for anything that M$ does not support anyway.
