Not responding for a couple of minutes (1 Viewer)

Hello everybody,

I've the problem that where I live, sometimes I can watch some channels and sometimes there's not enough signal quality to watch those channels, so, I scan the sat when I have more signal quality and I get more channels, but the problem with this is that some part of the day I don't get signal in some channels, and when I try to watch one of those channels when there's poor signal quality MP gets stuck for a couple of minutes, I have to wait until it stops doing what it's trying to do(sometimes I get an error saying something about timeshifting, sometimes I don't get any error messages), and I don't like waiting to much time.

And also I've been having another problem, I don't know if it's related to the previous one, but when I'm watching a channel and I want to change to another one typing the channel number let's say 231, sometimes I can just type 2 and MP gets stuck(but the current channel is still playing) and I can't type the other numbers, sometimes I can type more numbers, but most of the time I can type the complete channel number, this problem happens a few times, the first problem happens most of the times.

What do you suggest ? is there like a configuration that I can play with to see if MP stops doing this ?

You can check my post -->here<-- for some comments about this: either try reducing timeouts or upgrade to MP 1.3a.

Which version of MP are you using?
Are you using a remote control?

Thanks for your response, I'm using MP 1.2.1.0 I'll first try to reduce the times you mentioned in the link.

And yes, I'm using a remote control it's a "Noah Company MediaGate GP-IR02BK Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate MCE Remote Control, 2 Channel IR (Black)"

Ok, I updated to the 1.3a version and it seems to be working better, but now I'm having different problems, MP is not responding to some remote control keys, like channel up/down show guide, etc. I'm going to search in the forum to see if someone else is having the same issue
