Recently, after upgrading, I did a channel re-scan and some channels had moved and this resulted in duplicates, the old ones which were in my Main group and with individual channel numbers and the new ones which weren't yet in any group and all on Ch 10000. I deleted the old ones, assigned the new ones to my Main group but over several days I couldn't get any EPG data for these channels. (Ch4, Ch4+1, Ch5, ITV2, E4, More4)

So then I deleted all the channels and did another scan, which resulted in even more channels on Ch 10000. However, now all the ones listed above have EPG data, so obviously being on Ch 10000 isn't the cause of that problem, whilst the new ones, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, BBC News, BBC Parliament and 301 and 302, don't get any EPG data.

From the log it looks like it's not even trying to get the data for BBC Two and the other channels, even though it is for Ch4 and others which are also still on Ch 10000.

Unfortunately i cannot find any information pointing to TSID and ONID values for FreeView, so all this is only assumption.
As from your log

i guess you have deleted wrong channels, because i can't imagine that EPG is trasmitting for non-existing for given MUX channels.
Try to delete all channels, rescan and then try to get EPG. Post logs of scanning and EPG grabbing here.

I'll do it again but as I said, I did delete all channels and do a new scan, so I can't have deleted the wrong channels. I can tune into the channels that aren't getting EPG data, so they must have the correct tuning details set.

So after a new scan I've got just Ch4, Ch4+1, Ch5, ITV2, E4, More4 on Ch 10000 again. Now the EPG grabber doesn't appear to be working at all though, as the logs not showing it doing anything. Ah wait, I manually started timeshifting and then stopped it, which stopped and started the EPG grabber and now it's working. There seems to be a bug then where it doesn't work the first time, which adds up as I always have no EPG for about a day after first scanning for channels. There's still the errors in the epg.log as before and it hasn't grabbed any EPG data for the channels on Ch 10000.

I notice I also have two "Dave ja vu" now as well, one on Ch 791 (482Mhz) and one on Ch 25 (506Mhz) so it's obviously being broadcast on two Muxes for some reason. I'm using the Crystal Palace transmitter which has "Dave ja vu" on 506Mhz http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=TQ339712 but I checked the next nearest transmitters (Guildford, Reigate) and neither have it on 482Mhz. It shouldn't be a problem I guess and I'll just delete the wrong one.[DOUBLEPOST=1363019454][/DOUBLEPOST]
then we need TSID, ONID and SID for these channels.

Shouldn't it get these OTA the same as all the other channels?

EDIT: Sorry, maybe you meant you need me to give them to you. I've got (NID, TID, SID)
ITV2 - 9018, 8193, 8325
Ch4 - 9018, 8193, 8384
Ch4+1 - 9018, 8193, 8452
E4 - 9018, 8193, 8448
More4 - 9018, 8193, 8442
Ch5 - 9018, 8193, 8500

you shouldn't care about ch 10000 as it isn't in use for DVBT.
but i don't see any EPG grabbed for you in epg.log attached. can you attach epg.log with epg that worked?

sorry, didn't get your question.
I need TSID, ONID and SID for those channels that have no EPG. And combination of these 3 parameters is unique (applied to one frequency).

@doveman you're not going crazy! I'm also on the Crystal Palace transmitter and am getting the exact same problems as you - same channels listed on 10000, neither of them have EPG but they all playback fine, and I have the duplicate Dave Ja Vu on 791. I've tried deleting the sql database and done a full scan, then selected only one of the offending channels (ITV2) to grab EPG. After which all other channels, including radio, have fully populated EPG, but these "10000" channels are all missing.

Could there be a wider issue with the transmitter?

I'm on MP 1.2.3 by the way.

Are you guys sure these channels do provide EPG? Have you got some other chance to check if they have EPG (via settop box or tv card software)?

I've seen some of these problems too (UK Freeview, Sandy Heath DVB-T/DVB-T2 transmitter) - in my case I'd done a re-scan (without deleting all channels first) and realized after a few days that the EPG for some of the channels wasn't being updated....

After more re-scans and a full channel delete + rescan I noticed that some channels were duplicated i.e. one instance with the correct channel number and another with 10000. Deleting the '10000' channels fixed the problem for me, but I've no idea why it's recently started doing this....

UK Freeview carries EPG data for all of the muxes on each mux, so you can get EPG data for all channels from just tuning one channel (I actually have it set up to grab off one channel on two different muxes, just to make it more resilient). As far as I could tell from the logs, the EPG grabbing was running OK, but it was never finding/allocating EPG data to the problem channels (the ones with '10000' duplicates).
