Is ther a problem with MovieDB.org, as I no longer get any backdrops automatically?

I can download and manually assign the backdrops, but they dont automatically get scraped and stored in my thumbs.

The covers are being scraped ok, just not the backdrops.

Thanks

I think I am having this problem too.

I had a problem with my MP installation and had to delete the Moving Pictures database and thumbs directory to start fresh.

The Cover-arts are downloading fine, but the backdrops are not coming down at all. Seemingly only 3 out of the 97 films come down each time (tried a couple of fresh starts because I thought I was doing something wrong).

    Anyone got any idea?

I feel like a fool for not backing up my thumbs directory, and now I can't get it back

Are there any other manual sources which can be assigned in the options to try other sites?

    Cheers

The scraper setting are default, and that link works.

I have set it to debug mode (the backdrop downloader debug option) and tried to re-scan a single film. Below is the log for the scan. Does it help at all?

The first line that mentions the website in question is this:

11-Nov-2009 22:16:41 Error [ WebGrabber]: XML Parse error: URL=http://api.themoviedb.org/2.0/Movie.imdbLookup?api_key=cc25933c4094ca50635f94574491f320&imdb_id=tt0115751 System.Xml.XmlException: '>' is an unexpected token.

so I put http://api.themoviedb.org/ into my browser and it comes back telling me:

"If you are a member of the general public:

The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems or is undergoing routine maintenance."

Does this mean anything - it clearly doesn't sound right to me?

I just tried the link TMDb API Documentation (the same link as posted at the bottom of post 5) this morning and it works now (although I will not get a chance to test a backdrop download until tonight).

Interestingly, my log text (post no 5) returns "http://api.themoviedb.org/2.0/Movie.imdbLookup?........", but the link above shows "http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/" in my browser. Could this indicate a server update recently?

I am a complete amature, so I am just reporting what I have seen it the hope that far more intelligent users can work out why things have not been working!

    95 of my movies don't have a backdrop!!!!

Putting the problem into context, no one has died, the Moving Pictures plugin still works, it just doesn't have the fancy backgrounds as before. So it isn't a major problem. A fix would be great, but overall, thanks to the chaps that work on this excellent plugin.

Yes please a fix would be great!

As chance would have it, I've literally just decided to go over to using Moving Pictures as my main movie manager expecting to have lovely Fan Art for my films! Looks like I'll put this on hold for the time being.

I tested four films initially: Rocky I, Terminator 2, Time Bandits and Wayne's World

Don't even get any cover art.

    Never mind :(
