Nova T 500 getting 2 cards to install for 4 tuners

After updating and rebooting I went into MediaPortal Config under TV and it showed the in addition to the install "2 tuners for 1 Nova T 500. Dev 1 Path 1 & 2" another 2 cards BUT listed as 2 tuners for 1 Nova T 500. Dev 1 Path 1 & 2! I went ahead and added the "extra" 2 tuners and went into the TV Channel setup and pointed all channels to both "extra" Tuners. I did not expect this to work but tried any way to record 4 different channels at the same time as the EPG allowed this without conflicts. In testing as I expected only the first 2 channels recorded. Next I removed all TV Tuners from Media Portal Config TV Tuner setup and started adding from scratch as it were. The setup only saw the Dev1 Path 1 and Path 2 and I was back where I started from One Nova T 500 setup with both tuners working and the Second Nova T 500 installed and not being able to be setup or used....</p><p></p><p>I did as you requested and dled from Hauppauge ScanChannelsBDA-UK and indeed it did list</p><p></p><p>1. I hope this helps you to help me and other Dual-T 500 people who want to use two cards for two pci slot used for 4 recording tuners!</p><p></p><p>I then went and installed WinTVCD4_0 to see if Hauppauge software was man enough and here is what I did after rebooting cpu when installation was finished!</p><p></p><p>1) In WinTV Channel Manager TV Tuner Inputs only sees 3 digital configs. I don't understand why there is not 4 listings. I noticed the tab Format w as blank and clicking on the down elevator the options were blank with no options showing. Country tab was UK Broadcast tab was antenna as iit should be! Also scanning for services (TV Stations) for each of these 3 digital configs resulted in 0 Services found!</p><p></p><p>Source Tab. This tab showed Attached Device Order as DVB-T-1 (Nova-DT), DVB-T (Nova-DT), DVB-T-1 (Nova-DT), DVB-T (Nova-DT). Underneath that is a Autoscan button which I clicked and again No Channels were created!</p><p></p><p>Device Tab. When clicking on the "Listed" item the same stats came up for Source and Model number as expected but all three devices listed had the Same Serial Number! 4027350694 which leads me to believe that the hardware signature in both cards are identical as originally suggest in earlier posts!</p><p></p><p>Channels Tab. This tabbed area had ALL Channel Icon with no listings and 5 other folders with no channels either TV nor Radio!</p><p></p><p>When I reboot from all of this I double click on the WinTV Icon and I go back into the same routine when I am asked if I want to scan for channels!</p><p></p><p>I suspect that scanning for channels does not work when there are qty two Nova-T 500 are installed. I am not going to try removing one card to see if WinTV will find channels. I am guessing it will. I don't care about WinTV (although the new look of WinTV 6 is a vast improvement in looks) as I want Media Portal to work with qty two Nova-T 500's! The main purpose of running WinTV software was to see if Hauppauge software would handle qty two Nova-T 500 since MP is having problems. I must point out in defense of MP that after running WinTV which begged to scan for tv channels the Sixth time in which the last time was after a reboot Media Portal ran one TV Card and recorded two channels (without viewing one) perfectly even though Win TV refuses to see any channels in its scan!!!!!!!!!!!! So all in all I lost tons of time in experimentation and writing this up not to forget I had to manually update 2 drivers that MS update should have done years ago! Also posted before in my work around with out those two driver updated I do have Qty 1 Nova-T 500 and Qty 1 HVR1300 installed and able to record 3 TV programs at the same time in four computers!!!!! But it is clear to me that those are 2 different cards with 2 different Hardware signatures!</p><p></p><p>I will ask again DOES ANYONE HAVE QTY 2 Nova-T 500s working in one computer? How about YOU HAUPPAUGE?</p><p></p><p>I apologize for my tone but I have been trying to solve this problem since Nova-T 500 was first stocked by Computer 2000 and I have lost too much time just because I am trying to be LOYAL to Hauppauge and not purchase another companies dual tv tuner to solve this problem ie.
