I've done a search but can't seem to find much on this.
I seem to get very bad stuttering in recordings when using this setup to record more than one channel (or record one while watching another).
I also get a lot of stuttering at the start of a recording or when just starting live tv viewing.
If anyone can offer any advice I'd be very grateful!
I think the problem might not be Media Portal related as I saw similar issues when using NextPVR but still thought there may be someone here who could advise.

your CPU just tooooo old.
Also i guess you have very old HDD (or HDD controller) that isn't capable of simultaneous writing of 2 channels (1 is recording and another one is timeshift) to it.
As you have only 1 GB RAM, then Timeshift to RAMDisk is also not an option for you.
