Synopsis::

The auto-tune in the Media Portal First Time Setup didn't work, it scanned through but found 0 channels.

I downloaded xmltv and ran the grabber, using tv_grab_uk_rt which seemed to take 40 minutes or more (on very high CPU usage).

This just left me with an EPG full of satalite only channels, and not the ones I can use through my Win Nova-T.

Is there an easy to follow guide with instructions on how to setup MP for UK digital terrestrial because it's not exactly obvious what you have to do?

Is there a way to get the autotune working with the Nova-T?

I've installed those drivers, but still no joy with the auto-tune. It looks like it's trying to tune but just results with 0 channels after it's been through the scan.

Also, whenever I open WinTV2000 (the hauppauge software) after I have run media portal, the video is completely screwed up - it resizes to 1/4 the window size and fills the rest with artifacts. The only way i've managed to fix this is by reinstalling the Hauppauge drivers. See screenshot

I'd really love to get Media Portal working, but this is a major show stopper at the minute.

I have no solution to your problem but I am using a Nova-T card (rev. 90002) and have no problems at all. I get the feeling that it most be something else that is in conflict with MP/Nova-T...As I said I have no solution but the Nova-T should work just fine.

I used to have this problem. Unfortunatly I'm not going to be much help, however I noticed that it would stop tuning after installing a routine Windows Update security patch (can't remember which, theres a forum post by me somewhere).

But I also noticed that the auto tune wouldn't work in the initial setup wizard, but it would in the config setup under available cards.

    When you updated the software did you use hcwclear first to completely remove old drivers/settings? Because by the looks of it, there is definately a software config or conflict problem here.
