I have a NOVA T Stick (aka MyTV.t), and when I go to add it in MediaPortal > capture cards, it tells me it cannot be detected, even though GB-PVR recognises it easilly.

I know the drivers are updated and I have even downloaded the LATEST SVN for MediaPortal. Does anybody have any ideas? I dont want to have to go back to using GB-PVR.

Its a lot easier to use the TVServer to detect the card and has multiple advantages over the inbuilt TV, see below for comparison.

Uninstall Mediaportal and select standard install, including HD TV will then give you TVServer + MediaPortal (password as spelt).

Otherwise to use the internal TV engine and add to the capturecarddefinitions for your TV card look here.
